2012 Disney’s Flower & Garden Festival
On May 19,2012, we went to Disney’s Epcot Center for the Annual Flower & Garden Festival. The theme this year was “Where Epcot Springs to life” and included over 100 different topiaries, most of which were Disney Characters, themed in their own gardens around the park. Some of the gardens featured scenes from Fantasia, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Pixar’s Cars and Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Other gardens featured Disney Characters and some featured animals. Every year the buildings on The Streets of America are covered with some 5 million individual lights or 350 miles of lights. On Saturday, Oct 1st, we took a pilgrimage to Disney World for their annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. At this years festival there was a “Cranberry Bog” as well as the usual food booths from around the world. The featured topiaries were of Donald & Daisy Duck getting ready to travel the world of flavors. Being only the second day of the event there was a large number of people enjoying the day.
