Cathedral of the Assumption
On March 11, 2009 we embarked on the ms Prinsendam on a 52 day cruise to the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. This cruise covered 25 Ports, to 14 Countries in 50 days. We traveled a total distance of 14,328 nautical miles or 16,477 statute miles.
First Half
The first half of our voyage took us to St. Barts, St. Lucia, Tenerife & Lanzarote (Canary Islands), Gibraltar, Cartagena & Barcelona (Spain), Marseille (France), Monaco, Livorno (Italy), Civitavecchia (Italy), Naples (Italy) and Athens (Greece).
Second Half
The second half of the voyage included Istanbul (Turkey), Varna (Bulgaria), Sevastopol (Ukraine), Kusadasi (Turkey), Santorini (Greece), Valletta (Malta), Seville (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Ponta Delgada (Azores), Hamilton (Bermuda) and New York (United States).
When we retired and moved to Florida from Bellport,Long Island, NY, we began to cruise more and for longer periods of time. Our travels have taken us up the Amazon, around South America and the Antarctic, North Africa, the Mediterranean and Black Seas.
