November 14th we awoke to a foggy day. Today we were entering the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar and landing on “The Rock” at 11:45 AM. The weather was still overcast and rain started to fall so we donned our rain gear and umbrellas and proceeded to walk into town. Although it was raining we still enjoyed the sights as the town was decorated for Christmas. Being our second time in Gibraltar, we decided to explore the town. There was a short walk from the pier to the old (walled) city. We entered the city and strolled up and down the main street passing the major buildings including The Convent where we watched the changing of the guard. We ate across the street at The Angry Friar and had Fish & Chips and a pint. We arrived “On the Rock” just as the sun was rising. Our day included a cable car ride to the top of the rock and then we hiked half way down to St. Michael’s Cave. We then went to the Great Siege Tunnels. Upon leaving we circumnavigated the peninsula.
