In Katakolon we took a trip to the Mercouri Estate Winery. We saw the old implements used in wine making as well as seeing today’s methods. Santorini, Greece

  After taking the local tender to the bottom of the caldera, we took the cable car to the top and the town of Fira. Once on top we strolled the tiny streets of the town taking in the Ypapanti Orthodox Cathedral. The town was not crowded and we could stroll with ease. The Island of Crete is quite mountainous, so our tour took us up to the Lassithi plateau, where agriculture was the main source of income.
