Amalfi Coast, Italy

After docking in Naples on April 21, 2012, we took a ships tour down the Amalfi Coast, considered to be one of the most beautiful coastal drives in the world. Due to the narrow roadway, we boarded a small mini bus and began our trip up Naples Bay toward the Bay of Sorrento. After views of the cliffs of Sorrento, we continued through Positano, the tiny fishing village of Fiordo, several watchtowers and stopping in the village of Amalfi. Taormina, Sicily, Italy

We anchored off of the island of Sicily on April 20, 2012 near the port of Giardini Naxos, with views of Mt. Etna. This was our gateway to Taormina. We were provided a shuttle which took us up to a parking garage where we took an elevator, up 7 floors, to the entrance of Taormina. Once there, we entered through the Porto Catania and proceed down Corso Umberto to Piazza IX Aprile. Venice, Italy

At 8:15 AM on April 17, 2012 we started to enter the city of Venice. The day was clear and sunny and the distant mountains were still capped with snow. The sail in is a spectacular sight and the views were awe inspiring. After entering the lagoon we proceeded up the San Marco canal past San Marco Plaza and the Santa Maria della Salaute. We then sailed up the Giudecca Canal to our berth for the next 2 days.
