Callo (Lima), Peru
We arrived in Lima under dense fog and were late in getting to the pier. We had two days here, so on our first day we took in the highlights of Lima. This included several plazas, the cathedral, the government palace and the San Francisco church. On the second day we boarded a motor launch and toured the Palomino Islands. Here we saw many different types of sea life including penguins, sea lions and pelicans. Salaverry is the gateway to the ancient pre inca cultures. We went to the Sun & the Moon Temple (pyramids), the Rainbow Temple, and Chan Chan.
