A Night in Ephesus

A Night in Ephesus

On the evening of  April 9, 2015, the ship hosted its World Cruise special event, “A Night in Ephesus”. This event was to take place in the city of Ephesus, once the trade center of the ancient world and the second largest outside of Rome about 20 miles outside of Kuşadasi. We arrived to a reception line of Roman soldiers and were greeted by Roman citizens. The area in front of the Roman Theater, the Arcadian Way, was set up with tables for us to enjoy some food. As the sun was setting we could venture to the Library of Celsus and a view of the Apian Way, the main street in the city. At the library there were desserts and Chamber music for all to enjoy. When the sun had finally set we were treated to a Folkloric Show in the Roman Theater. This was followed by the Aegean Chamber Orchestra.
