On our second day in Dubai, March 28, 2016, the sand dust was not as bad and there was more blue sky, as can be seen by the skyline view taken from our ship. We started our day traveling down the Sheikh Zayed Road, the 16 lane highway that is home to most of Dubai’s skyscrapers which line both sides of the road. The red line of the metro also follows this route. We then went over to get views of the Burj Al Arab, one of the worlds most expensive hotels that is shaped like a sailboat and has its own helipad. It was then on to the Atlantis Hotel on Palm Island to see the Lost Chambers Aquarium. Our last stop was to the Dubai Marina, where we took a Dhow ride to see the “tallest block of residential skyscrapers,” and the marina with its’ luxury yachts.
