After leaving the Marshall Islands, we arrived in Guam, a territory of the United States, on February 7, 2017. In Guam we spent the day exploring Guam’s beautiful Scenic Overlooks, Beaches, and Historical Sites. We started out at the Latte Stone Park, where the stones were used by the Chamorro people to build their homes upon. From there we walked through the Plaza de Espana to view the Guam Museum and the Cathedral. We then drove to Two Lovers Point, with spectacular views of the coastline. Finally we traveled to Magellan’s Landing, the place where Magellan first landed on the Island. Above the landing was Fort Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, a fortification built by the Spanish probably between 1802 and 1819. On our way back to the ship we stopped to look at the old stone Spanish bridge.
