On March 3, 2014 we made our first sop in Asia in the port of Hong Kong, where we had another overnight stay. After clearing customs we went to Lantau Island to visit the Big Buddha. The Buddha is at the top of a mountain and to get there we took the Lantau Skyrail, a cable car. The day was quite cloudy and overcast, and our trip on the cable car took us through the clouds to the themed village of Ngong Ping, where the Big Buddha and the Lo Pin Monastery are located. In the evening we started out and went to Victoria Peak to see the city at night. It was still overcast, so there were only partial views on the way down. We completed our day by taking a double decker tram through the streets of Hong Kong Island.
