Today we explored Hong Kong Island, which was across the harbor from where our ship was docked. We first went to the suburb of Aberdeen, where we boarded a Sampan for a tour of the harbor where fishermen live on the water in Junks and Sampans. Next we went to the Stanley Market, which is renown for bargain shopping and then on to the Bird Market and then a short walk to the Flower Market with over 2 blocks of flower stalls. We finished up at Jade Hawkers Market. On the way back we past many new constructions where the scaffolding was all bamboo.
