On January 27, 2013 we entered the Panama Canal at 6:45 am at the Gatun Locks on the Caribbean side. There are three locks here which will raise a ship 85 feet to Gatun Lake. After traveling through the lake we enter the Gallard Cut which was excavated 312 feet through the continental divide. We then passed under the Centennial Bridge before entering the Pedro Miguel Locks and then through Miraflores Locks, under the Bridge of the Americas and out into the Pacific Ocean with a panoramic view of Panama City. The complete transit was 9 hours.
