On April 25, 2014 we reached our last port of the voyage, Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. The ship docks in Philipsburg about a mile form the main part of town. The easiest way to get there is by taking the water taxi from the pier to the main town pier which puts you in the center of town. Philipsburg is a typical caribbean tourist town with all the “duty free” shops which are along the one thoroughfare, Front Street. Along the way down Front Street we turned into Old Street to visit our favorite shop, the Belgian Chocolate Box. After leaving Old Street we walked along the beach before returning to the ship.
