March 19, 2014, found us of the coast of Africa in the Seychelles. We entered the outer harbor of the Port of Victoria around 2:00 PM and were along side the pier at 3:00 PM. We were greeted by singers and dancers pier side as we left the Amsterdam. We just took in the pier area for about an hour as we were here overnight and would start exploring on March 20th.
In the morning we boarded a small 16 passenger bus to explore the area in and around Victoria. After a short panoramic tour of Victoria, we climbed into the mountains for some spectacular views of the island and it’s coastline. We then proceeded down to Grand Anse Beach. We then returned to Victoria stopping at a lookout above Victoria and some other out islands. In Victoria we visited The Botanic Gardens to see Coco de Mar Palm trees and native giant tortoises. In the afternoon we took a shuttle bus into Victoria where we visited the local market and the highly decorated Hindu Temple.
