Bali, Indonesia

On the 23 of February, 2016, we docked in Benoa, on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Upon leaving the ship we were greeted by a band and dancers dressed in traditional dress. On this day we ventured to the Tengan Aga Village, which is home to the descendants of the original Bali inhabitants. The town is laid out with a North-South road with buildings opening to that street. Now a tourist town, the homes had crafts for sale and there were many street vendors at the entrance. Bali, Indonesia (Day 2)

Our second day in Bali, February 27, 2015, we spent the day traveling in a VW safari vehicle for 2 with a guide and a driver. We drove thru Denpasar passing community temples and many motorbikes, the main transportation of the area.  Our first stop was the town of Klungkung, where gongs and Anklungs, instruments used in traditional Indonesian music, were hand forged and assembled. We then traveled to the foothills of the Bangli region where the 11th century Kehen Temple is located. Bali, Indonesia

On February 26, 2015 we sailed into the beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia and docked in Benoa. As we approached Benoa the sun was trying to break through the morning haze and we could just see the mountains on the island. We took a tour that first went to the Royal Temple. On our way there we traveled through the streets of Benoa and Denpasar seeing statues, family temples, craft shops and artists. Once at the temple we walked the grounds and viewed the amazing structures. Traveling on we went to the Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest to see the large number of Macaque monkeys that lived there....
