Hong Kong (Day 2)

Today we explored Hong Kong Island, which was across the harbor from where our ship was docked. We first went to the suburb of Aberdeen, where we boarded a Sampan for a tour of the harbor where fishermen live on the water in Junks and Sampans. Next we went to the Stanley Market, which is renown for bargain shopping and then on to the Bird Market and then a short walk to the Flower Market with over 2 blocks of flower stalls. Hong Kong (Day 1)

On March 3, 2014 we made our first sop in Asia in the port of Hong Kong, where we had another overnight stay. After clearing customs we went to Lantau Island to visit the Big Buddha. The Buddha is at the top of a mountain and to get there we took the Lantau Skyrail, a cable car. The day was quite cloudy and overcast, and our trip on the cable car took us through the clouds to the themed village of Ngong Ping, where the Big Buddha and the Lo Pin Monastery are located.
