Manilia (Day 2)

Our second day in Manilla was spent touring Intramuros, the old walled Spanish settlement of Manila. Our first stop was at the San Augustin Church the oldest structure in the Philippines. From there we walked across the street to Casa Manila, a reconstructed 19th century Spanish mansion. We then proceeded to Fort Santiago for a carnival dance demonstration and a tour of the grounds. We returned to the ship and enjoyed a performance by a local orphanage, before enjoying a Grand Sailaway, with performances by local bands on the pier. Manila, Philippines (Day 1)

We traveled for 3 days from Yap Island to Manila and arrived on February 28, 2014 for an overnight stay. On this day we took a tour to see the Modern Manila. Our first stop was outside the Coconut Palace. This building was made entirely of coconut materials. We then went to Ayala Museum where the history of Manila was portrayed. We then toured around the various districts in Manila seeing the many street vendors and observing the unique mode of transport call Jeepneys, which  are Jeeps that were left after WWII and converted  into small highly decorated buses.
