Casablanca, Morocco

In Casablanca our main goal on this trip was to visit the inside of the Hassan II Mosque. This giant structure holds 25,000 inside the mosque and another 80,000 on the mosque’s ground outside. After our extensive tour of the mosque we visited a hotel where there was a panoramic view of the beech. In Casablanca we took a tour to the Portuguese towns of Azemmour and Mazagane. On our way we stopped for an exterior visit of the Hassan II Mosque, the world’s largest. We then went Azemmour a walled city on the Oum Rabiaa River, where we viewed the white washed buildings of this old city. Agadir, Morocco

We docked in the commercial port in Agadir. We took a tour to the markets and Medina of ancient Taroudant. After an hour and a half drive we stopped for tea just outside the walls of Taroudant. We meandered thru the local market, being the only tourists in sight experiencing the local culture. We did a brief tour of Casablanca and then went to the Imperial City of Rabat. Here we toured the courtyard of the royal palace, and in the old town visited the souks (markets) and the Oudaya Kasbah.
