Shanghai China Day 2

On our second day in Shanghai, we traveled outside the city to Zhujiajiao, a water town dating back some 5,000 years. 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. The Fangsheng Bridge (Setting Fishes Free Bridge), is the largest and longest was built in 1571. There are many narrow walkways, however the main transportation is by small boats driven by a single oar. In the town there are many Food Stalls, serving a variety of local foods. Shanghai China

Shanghai, China was our destination on February 26, 2017. After docking in the city on the Bund side, with a panoramic view of the Budong, we took a tour around the city with our first stop being the Shanghai Museum. The museum houses ancient Chinese art featuring bronze, jade, ceramics and furniture.  We then went to the Jade Buddha Temple, which features two Jade Buddhas imported from Burma.
