Cape Town, South Africa (Day 2)

On April 2. 2014, we woke to see the table cloth, clouds covering and flowing over the top, on Table Mountain. Today we went up on Table Mountain to get the views of Cape Town from above the city. We got our tickets to the cable car which held about 50 people at a time and the floor rotates as you ascend the mountain. The total ride last 4 minutes and the scenery on the way up was outstanding. Once on top the temperature and wind made it very cold but the views were well worth the trip. While there we had sunshine, fog, in and out clouds and even a rainbow. Cape Town, South Africa (Day 1)

We arrived at the southern tip of Africa on April 1, 2014, and docked in Cape Town. Today we decided to go to see the Cape of Good Hope on the southern tip of Africa. We started out in Cape Town passing a lighthouse as we proceeded down the west coast. On the way we passed through small towns and villages including some of the “informal housing” areas. We drove along cliffs that hugged the coast and in and out of many bays. Durban, South Africa

Our first stop in Africa was Durban, South Africa on March 28, 2014. Today we traveled 45 miles out of Durban on to the Savannah to the Tala Lodge & Game Reserve. Here we boarded a 4 x 4 open truck and started to tour the reserve. Our first sighting was of  Giraffes, that were feeding on the trees. Continuing on we say a pair of Rhinos and followed them for a bit. We then proceed to a small lake and on the way we passed some Zebras.
