Dubai, UAE (Day 2)

Our second day, March 24. 2015 we spent exploring along the Dubai Creek. We used the HOHO bus to get to the various places we wanted to see. We first stopped at the Old Souk, where all types of goods were for sale and adjacent to the textile market. The population of Dubai is mostly 85% expatriate, so only 15% are citizens. The men wear a long white robe called a dishdash  and the head scarf of the citizens is caledl a keffiyeh. The women wear the traditional black abaya, a long robe and a head scarf. Dubai, UAE (Day 1)

At 9:30 am on the morning of March 23, 2015, we approached the foggy skyline of Dubai where we docked for 2 days. We got a 2 day pass on the Big Bus Tour which is a HOHO and set out to explore the city. We immediately noticed that flowers adorned the medians and shoulders of the highways. Windcatchers  are a traditional Persian architectural element to create natural ventilation in buildings, were seen everywhere throughout the city. The old part of Dubai which is located around Dubai Creek, hosts both old and new architecture. The main city is all modern buildings with a 10 lane highway...
